This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct comprehensive research and generate actionable insights regarding the influence of emerging technologies on cybersecurity trends and the corporate threat landscape.
• Provide Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and AI Leaders with best practices to protect their organizations.
• Analyze and offer guidance on the effects of emerging technologies on enterprise cybersecurity strategies, architectures, and governance frameworks.
• Identify new security technologies and assist CIOs in making informed decisions regarding future security architecture and governance models.
• Monitor the vendor landscape to identify new entrants.
• Create research notes, market guides, and strategic frameworks tailored for CIOs and AI Leaders.
• Present findings, conduct webinars, and facilitate client interactions with strategic recommendations aimed at C-level audiences.
• Engage with senior technology executives, vendors, and industry stakeholders to uncover trends, innovation opportunities, and risks.
• Collaborate with Gartner's global analyst community to contribute to thought leadership in cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
• Provide personalized advisory services to Gartner clients on strategic planning, technology selection, and organizational transformation.
• Conduct timely and high-quality peer reviews of content.
• Represent Gartner's insights, methodologies, and strategies as a recognized industry expert.
• Participate in discussions around innovation, ideation, and research.
• Enhance research processes and create new methodologies for service delivery.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.
• Facilitate regular client engagements with Gartner insights and interactions.
• Proven understanding of how emerging technologies impact cybersecurity, including practical experience or research in AI/ML security, quantum-safe cryptography, or cloud-native security.
• Established background as a CIO, CISO, or direct advisor to CIOs/AI Leaders within a large enterprise or technology-centric organization.
• Profound expertise in cybersecurity, covering technical architecture, threat intelligence, risk management, and governance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Possess executive presence and the ability to gain credibility with executives and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to meet stringent deadlines.
• Exceptional research and writing skills.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication, analytical, and presentation abilities.
• Capable of analyzing and synthesizing data, applying patterns, and utilizing frameworks.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Subject matter expertise and confidence in presenting at both large and small speaking engagements.
• Strong business acumen and financial understanding.
• Extensive knowledge of the global and competitive landscape in the relevant field.
• Ability to operate independently while collaborating across diverse teams in a multicultural global setting.
• Demonstrated learning agility and capability to navigate highly matrixed environments.
• Ability to effectively represent Gartner's research methodologies and strategies.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% when necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Preferred: experience in technology consulting, advisory, or research roles.
• Preferred: familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and DORA.
