Senior Director Analyst – CIO Public Sector

📋 Description

• Develop innovative and compelling research content that is essential and thought-provoking.

• Generate new research ideas through thought leadership and provide actionable strategies to meet client needs.

• Conduct thorough analyses to uncover the underlying causes of client challenges and reshape perspectives to advance strategy.

• Establish research positions among a team of analysts.

• Offer independent insights to Gartner leaders to enhance research agendas.

• Investigate, assess, and forecast market trends and developments.

• Deliver actionable advice to clients and prospects through both virtual and in-person engagements.

• Create and present materials for Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings.

• Support sales efforts and act as the voice of the market.

• Perform timely and high-quality peer reviews of research content.

• Establish credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner's research, methodologies, and strategies.

• Engage in innovation, ideation, and research discussions.

• Collaborate with colleagues within the research community.

• Identify opportunities for research process improvements and develop new methodologies.

• Mentor and guide junior team members.

• Encourage clients to frequently engage with Gartner's research and interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.

• Over 12 years of relevant experience in the field or industry.

• Extensive experience collaborating with CIOs and technology executives within federal, state, and local government entities, preferably in Australia.

• Expertise in AI regulations, value realization, governance, cybersecurity, cost optimization, and operational models.

• Profound understanding of the government technology market, procurement best practices, and fostering partnerships between technology providers and government.

• Executive presence and the ability to build credibility with Board and C-level executives.

• Strong organizational skills and the capacity to function effectively under tight deadlines.

• Exceptional research and writing abilities.

• Proficient in both written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and presentation skills.

• Capable of engaging clients, diagnosing critical issues, and providing actionable recommendations.

• Skilled in analyzing and synthesizing data, identifying patterns, and applying frameworks.

• Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and succinctly.

• Comfortable presenting at both large and small-scale speaking events.

• Strong business and financial insight.

• Knowledge of the global competitive landscape in the relevant field.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with teams in a multicultural global environment.

• Demonstrated learning agility and adaptability in navigating complex organizational structures.

• Ability to effectively represent Gartner’s research methodologies and strategies at all levels.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%, as required.
