
Senior Director, Agile Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee a comprehensive agile operating model across Engineering, Product, Data, and Enterprise IT teams.
• Establish uniform sprint rhythms, standards for definition-of-done, practices for backlog management, and cadences for release planning.
• Strategically shape the organization’s Agile approach and scale methodologies throughout various departments.
• Tailor Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe components to fit Vibrant’s hybrid program/product context and timelines for grant-funded deliverables.
• Collaborate with pod leads and VPs to monitor delivery velocity, identify blockers, and facilitate the resolution of impediments.
• Manage cross-pod dependencies and integrated release planning efforts.
• Regularly maintain a rolling TECH delivery roadmap.
• Create and uphold delivery dashboards utilizing Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Oversee budgets for multiple agile teams and track actual spending against projections.
• Mentor and coach scrum masters, product owners, and technical leads.
• Develop and conduct agile training programs and foster communities of practice.
• Act as the primary contact for delivery governance inquiries from the CTO office, program leaders, and external partners.
• Convert delivery metrics into executive-level narratives and communicate delivery status, risks, and trends.
• Promote psychological safety, retrospection, and continuous improvement across Tech teams.
• Lead intricate cross-domain delivery initiatives and establish replicable delivery patterns.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in agile delivery, program management, or similar roles.
• 5+ years in a leadership or coaching role.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Proven success in adapting agile frameworks to distributed, mission-driven, or grant-funded environments.
• Exceptional executive communication skills, including the ability to present delivery risks, velocity, and status to C-suite and board members.
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Asana, or comparable delivery tools.
• Experience in creating delivery dashboards and KPI frameworks for cross-functional organizations.
• Successful track record of leading delivery transformations across multi-team or multi-program environments.
• Capability to work independently while leading delivery teams with a strong accountability for output quality.
• Excellent facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
• Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or equivalent practitioner certification is preferred.
• Experience within nonprofit, public sector, health tech, or crisis services contexts is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with federal grant reporting environments is preferred.
• Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
• Capacity to frequently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability to regularly communicate via video calls with both internal and external stakeholders.
