Senior Digital Marketing Channel Manager, SEO, AEO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of Headway's SEO and AEO strategy as well as the roadmap focused on patient acquisition.

• Identify opportunities, implement initiatives, and assess outcomes.

• Position Headway as the go-to brand recommended and referenced by ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews for therapy-related inquiries.

• Establish tracking mechanisms to evaluate AI assistant recommendations and citations.

• Create and enhance long-tail and programmatic content that ranks well, converts effectively, and maintains clinical accuracy.

• Lead efforts in link building, digital PR, and partnerships to enhance authority and increase third-party mentions.

• Collaborate with the Growth PM and engineering teams on site architecture, internal linking, structured data, indexation, page experience, and access for AI crawlers.

• Design and manage AI workflows and agents for research, content generation, outreach, and monitoring.

• Conduct experiments, analyze channel performance, and share insights with the wider growth team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in SEO with a proven track record of increasing organic acquisition.

• Recent, hands-on successes in AEO.

• Ability to articulate the differences between AEO and SEO and formulate strategies tailored for AI search.

• Individual contributor mindset with a strong focus on channel ownership.

• Experience in developing AI processes or agents and showcasing results.

• Solid background in link building and long-tail content creation.

• Technical proficiency in diagnosing site issues and setting strategies in collaboration with product and engineering teams.

• Bonus: experience in digital health, telehealth, or any other YMYL category.

• Authorization to work in the United States for any employer is required in the application.
