Senior DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain PACER account registration, authentication, billing, and Case Locator products.

• Create and support internal PACER account, help desk, and court access reporting systems.

• Ensure compliance with PCI and other security standards through secure development practices.

• Conduct requirements gathering, design, analysis, development, testing, deployment, support, and maintenance throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Develop and sustain enterprise software utilizing C, Java, JSF, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, and/or Linux shell.

• Create secure web services using SOAP, REST, WSDL, XSD, XML, and/or JSON.

• Design and implement efficient, scalable, and resilient software solutions.

• Document use cases, test cases, and system validation results.

• Engage in Agile planning, retrospectives, demos, and stand-ups.

• Review and validate requirements, system descriptions, and design artifacts.

• Prepare documentation packages and analyze project documentation and modification requests.

• Define, document, and maintain system and software architectures.

• Carry out secure engineering, vulnerability remediation, ATO, PCI, and FISMA compliance activities.

• Perform performance analysis, capacity planning, and system tuning.

• Design and evaluate continuity of operations and disaster recovery capabilities.

• Oversee software configurations, version control, and source code repositories.

• Take part in change control processes.

• Provide knowledge transfer, training, and documentation for Technical Points of Contact.

• Assess and suggest technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance efficiency and minimize technical debt.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in IT system engineering, systems development, coding, and programming.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Extensive knowledge of security compliance and security controls.

• Proficient in C, Java, JSF, Tomcat, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, and/or Linux shell.

• Significant experience in implementing and supporting end-to-end automated DevSecOps pipelines and processes.

• Strong background with RedHat Linux.

• Robust experience with Cloud APIs and Cloud technologies, including some programming experience.

• Comprehensive experience providing engineering support for software applications across the full DevOps pipeline.

• Ability to adjust to varying enterprise security requirements.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bash, Subversion, and JetBrains Tool Suite.

• Experience in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for a diverse range of applications.

• Background in implementing DevSecOps using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.

• Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications.

• Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools and methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of software build processes.

• A strong security-first mindset.

• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies.
