Senior DevOps/FinOps Engineer – Cybersecurity Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of intricate, high-traffic infrastructure systems and services.

• Evaluate distributed systems and legacy components to uncover inefficiencies and areas for optimization.

• Establish and sustain visibility into infrastructure costs, including the creation of reporting pipelines and dashboards.

• Identify and execute both short-term and long-term initiatives for infrastructure optimization.

• Work collaboratively with Engineering and Product teams to advocate for and implement technical enhancements.

• Take full ownership of optimization initiatives from the proposal stage through to implementation and impact assessment.

• Enhance the scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency of infrastructure.

• Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code practices and automation efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of practical DevOps experience in high-traffic production settings.

• Strong hands-on expertise in FinOps, infrastructure cost optimization, and reporting methodologies.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure cost determinants and strategies for optimization.

• Proven experience in presenting technical proposals and optimization strategies to engineering leadership.

• Solid hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience working in production environments with Kubernetes.

• Practical knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools, preferably Terraform.

• Familiarity with observability and monitoring solutions.

• At least an Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English.
