CI/CD Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain CI/CD and production release build pipelines for BIOS/UEFI development on Lenovo servers.

• Collaborate with firmware engineers to establish and uphold automated build pipelines and associated infrastructure.

• Oversee and maintain firmware build tools and toolchains for EDK2-based UEFI firmware.

• Conduct builds in both Linux and Windows environments.

• Integrate source control management with automated testing frameworks.

• Develop a continuous integration system to ensure code quality.

• Assess situations and implement solutions or develop new system elements, procedures, or processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in build and test automation, CI, and CD.

• Extensive experience with Python programming.

• Proficient in Git source control management.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar automation environments utilizing configuration as code.

• Experience with authentication schemes, certificate management, and LDAP integrations.

• Proficient in Jenkins, including Jenkins Pipeline, Jenkins Configuration as Code, and Jenkins maintenance.

• Experience working in Linux environments.

• Knowledge of Docker and Docker repositories.

• Familiar with binary artifact repositories such as Nexus or Artifactory.

• Experience in integrating CI pipelines with automated testing frameworks.

• Deep understanding of software development processes.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.

• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

• Preferred: Knowledge of GitLab, GitLab-Jenkins integrations, GitLab CI/CD, and Nexus.

• Preferred: Ability to work independently, evaluate alternative approaches, use sound judgment, manage priorities, offer technical advice, and apply discretion.
