Senior DevOps Engineer – Infrastructure, Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for managing and operating secure, highly available infrastructure across AWS and GCP.

• Manage MongoDB Atlas provisioning, scaling, backups, and performance optimization.

• Drive the implementation of infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Ansible.

• Implement IAM, network segmentation, encryption, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning.

• Prioritize data protection as a fundamental requirement for sensitive population data.

• Assess, self-host, and oversee the lifecycle of open-source tools such as SigNoz, SonarQube, and OpenBao.

• Construct observability stacks for metrics, logs, and traces.

• Create intelligent alerting and define SLIs/SLOs.

• Act as a senior escalation point for major incidents and facilitate blameless postmortems.

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, ensuring quality and security gates.

• Oversee Kubernetes-based container orchestration and automate routine operational tasks.

• Lead and mentor a team of 3 DevOps engineers, focusing on workload management, mentorship, and professional growth.

• Establish operational processes and collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Proven experience in leading or mentoring a team.

• Significant hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, and hybrid/on-premises environments.

• Demonstrated ability to self-host and operate open-source infrastructure tools in a production environment.

• Strong foundation in security and privacy engineering.

• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform/Ansible, and contemporary CI/CD practices.

• Solid Linux administration and scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go.

• Genuine interest in the organization’s mission and dedication to serving vulnerable communities.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

• Experience with MongoDB Atlas, observability/AIOps tools, FinOps/cost optimization, or relevant certifications such as AWS, GCP, or CKA are advantageous.
