Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement tools for both development teams and production applications.

• Create and sustain tooling for applications running on Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform.

• Assist development teams in building, shipping, and deploying services and applications.

• Advocate for service resilience and reliability.

• Ensure seamless operation of production environments.

• Troubleshoot complex issues alongside developers.

• Establish and facilitate monitoring of the four golden signals.

• Develop a self-service platform that includes service catalogs, repository tools, and documentation.

• Collect developer feedback, identify enhancements, and refine platform capabilities.

• Engage in a shared on-call rotation.

• Offer and maintain on-call support for infrastructure environments.

• Guarantee primary site uptime.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an SRE role or a similar position.

• Proficient in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting applications within Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Helm and Crossplane.

• Experience in building, securing, and managing container images.

• Knowledge of cloud-based environments and services such as CloudSQL, Pub/Sub, and Memorystore.

• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Crossplane, or comparable options.

• Experience monitoring the four golden signals: latency, traffic, errors, and load.

• Proficient with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.

• Acquainted with monorepo and trunk-based development methodologies.

• Knowledge of monolithic build tools and CI/CD processes.

• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar solutions.

• Ability to communicate effectively and support developers with empathy.

• Capacity to work in a fully remote setting within the United States.
