Senior DevOps Engineer – Core DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and automate expansive distributed systems.

• Create tools and automation processes to enhance availability, scalability, latency, and overall efficiency.

• Collaborate with Engineering teams to produce high-quality software in a dynamic environment.

• Oversee production and development environments, implement preventive measures, and ensure a smooth customer experience.

• Partner with delivery teams on software enhancements to achieve greater availability and reduced Mean Time to Detection (MTTD).

• Participate in an on-call rotation consisting of an 8-hour shift, 7 days a week, every 3–4 weeks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.

• More than 7 years of experience with private cloud technologies including OpenStack or VMware ESXi.

• At least 7 years of experience with Linux operating systems, specifically CentOS or Ubuntu.

• Over 7 years of networking experience.

• Proficient in orchestrating and managing containers using Kubernetes, Helm, GKE, and Docker.

• Familiarity with GitLab, ArgoCD, and CI/CD practices and tools.

• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform and Python or other scripting languages.

• Experience in Ansible for configuration management.

• Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Loki, Alertmanager, and Grafana.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Experience with incident management processes, SRE best practices, and the pursuit of continuous improvement.

• Proven experience in designing large-scale distributed systems.

• Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and best practices.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
