Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS, EKS, Kubernetes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Manage, support, and optimize workloads operating on AWS EKS and Kubernetes in a production setting.

• Analyze and resolve incidents that involve applications, APIs, databases, and various integrations.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Helm Charts utilized for packaging and deploying services.

• Assist in the upkeep and improvement of CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads.

• Containerize legacy applications, specifically PHP applications utilizing PHP-FPM and Apache.

• Facilitate compatibility testing and the transition from Percona MySQL to Amazon Aurora, guiding any necessary code or SQL modifications to the Development team.

• Automate and standardize AWS environments in conjunction with the Terraform foundation already in place by the team.

• Enhance the dynamic provisioning of stage-based QA environments.

• Collaborate with Development, QA, and Security teams on release planning, integration validation, and risk mitigation.

• Document architecture, operational procedures, runbooks, changes, and support processes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Completed or ongoing higher education in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Proficient or fluent in English, capable of engaging in meetings, technical discussions, and daily communications.

• Demonstrated experience with AWS EKS, Kubernetes, and containers in production environments.

• Full-time availability.

• Capability to work remotely.

• Familiarity with and experience in using Helm Charts.

• Knowledge of and experience with CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads.

• Experience with PHP applications operating with PHP-FPM and Apache.

• Expertise in Percona MySQL and Amazon Aurora.

• Understanding of and experience with Terraform and AWS environments.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with Development, QA, and Security teams while documenting architecture, operational procedures, runbooks, changes, and support processes.
