Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +16 more locations.

📋 Description

• Construct and oversee CI/CD pipelines for the new product line utilizing Azure DevOps and associated tools.

• Handle Azure App Services, Azure PostgreSQL Server, and other relevant Azure resources through infrastructure as code using Pulumi.

• Create deployment workflows that prioritize security, speed, and reliability.

• Establish monitoring and alerting systems across applications and databases.

• Leverage metrics and telemetry to pinpoint performance issues and foster enhancements.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that applications are both observable and secure.

• Identify areas to minimize manual processes.

• Create scripts, templates, and tools aimed at enhancing the developer experience.

• Focus on technical upgrades that improve uptime, performance, and observability.

• Work cross-functionally to synchronize deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure objectives with business goals.

• Share best practices, document systems, and contribute to a learning and curious culture.

• Report directly to the Chief Technology Officer while working closely with development, QA, and Product teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing Azure environments, especially VMs running Node.js, Azure PostgreSQL, Front Door, and related monitoring tools.

• Demonstrated expertise in constructing and refining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.

• Experience in developing and enhancing applications and tools in Node, with a focus on performance and maintainability.

• Proficient in infrastructure as code and scripting; direct experience with Pulumi is advantageous.

• Capability to analyze system performance, recognize bottlenecks, and implement sustainable improvements.

• Familiarity with observability platforms such as Sentry, New Relic, or Datadog.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• For remote positions, candidates must reside in one of the eligible U.S. states; hybrid roles are available in Austin or Toronto.
