This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Assume full responsibility for DevOps and deployment workflows across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
• Design, construct, maintain, and continuously enhance CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and automated application deployment.
• Provision and oversee cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and automation techniques.
• Manage containerized workloads and Kubernetes ecosystems.
• Automate repetitive tasks related to infrastructure, deployment, configuration, and operational activities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to refine build, release, and deployment processes.
• Establish and uphold monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for applications and infrastructure.
• Ensure that infrastructure and deployment methods adhere to security, scalability, availability, and reliability standards.
• Diagnose complex issues related to infrastructure, deployment, networking, and production, driving to root-cause resolution.
• Implement practices for backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor the performance, availability, capacity, and cloud resource utilization of infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing cloud cost efficiency and resource optimization.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance to development teams on DevOps and cloud best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and deployment/runbook documentation.
• Continuously enhance platform stability, deployment efficiency, security, automation, and developer experience.
• Advocate for and enforce information security practices, assess security risks, evaluate data management, and integrate data protection throughout the information lifecycle.
• Over 6 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong practical experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for enterprise-level applications.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated infrastructure provisioning.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing production environments and resolving complex deployment, infrastructure, and application challenges.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform.
• Experience in scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of Git and branching/release strategies.
• Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Strong grasp of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancers, firewalls, SSL/TLS, and connectivity.
• Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices, secrets management, access controls, and vulnerability management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Must possess legal eligibility to work in Canada.
• Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications are a plus.
