Senior Development Manager – Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the engineering teams within the Communications group, consisting of approximately 15 engineers and 3 engineering managers.

• Achieve results across SMS, secure messaging, email, and fax utilized by over 70,000 clinics.

• Create new products from inception to launch, including driving two-way text messaging from the discovery phase to general availability.

• Take ownership of reliability and deliverability at scale through integrations with Twilio, Sendbird, and AWS.

• Collaborate with Product and Design in a triad partnership.

• Articulate the impact of technical work to product stakeholders and advocate for significant technical investments.

• Promote practical adoption of AI within engineering processes and patient-oriented communication.

• Mentor engineering managers and foster the development of high-performing teams.

• Proven experience leading engineering managers and senior engineers across various teams in a product-driven SaaS environment.

• Demonstrated success in developing new products within an established platform, from conception to general availability.

• A product-oriented mindset that extends beyond engineering, including the ability to question what to build and why.

• Clear track record of fostering engineering managers and creating high-performing teams.

• Experience with rapid iterations in environments that require regulatory awareness.

• Background in healthcare or fintech is a plus.

• Candidates must currently reside and work in Canada.

• Must possess eligibility to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
