This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop internal tools that empower Threat Intelligence and Detection authoring teams.
• Create systems for the ingestion, correlation, and operationalization of threat intelligence.
• Independently deliver significant product features from ideation to deployment.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and strategic initiatives.
• Execute complex programming tasks and implement robust software systems.
• Engage in architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and ensure quality in end-to-end delivery.
• Participate in daily scrums, stand-ups, retrospectives, Test Fest, and other related ceremonies.
• Support the on-call rotation as needed.
• Assist and mentor other developers to remove obstacles.
• Establish and continuously enhance maintainable coding practices.
• Review code from peers and offer comprehensive feedback.
• Coach engineers through pairing, code examples, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Mentor junior team members to foster their development.
• Identify and address technical debt, system bottlenecks, and technical risks.
• Align project deliverables with business objectives and OKRs.
• Design and create Proofs of Concept for high-impact initiatives.
• Lead brainstorming sessions, technical workshops, and cross-functional projects.
• Provide strategic direction on complex technical issues.
• Collaborate across multiple repositories and teams with PMs, PgMs, data scientists, security researchers, and SOC analysts.
• Conduct post-mortems and retrospectives to drive improvements.
• Highly proficient developer capable of independently delivering major product features.
• In-depth understanding of software development practices.
• Expertise in writing and debugging code effectively.
• Experience working directly with internal customers to pinpoint issues and implement solutions.
• Practical experience in building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Proficient with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP, including native data and compute services.
• Familiar with streaming frameworks such as Kafka, Spark Structured Streaming, or Flink.
• Experience in designing and deploying production-grade RESTful or gRPC APIs.
• Strong grasp of scaling and throughput management.
• Experience in scaling both stateless and stateful services under production load, including low-latency, multi-regional backend systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices and standards.
• Comfortable with deploying and operating services in containerized environments like Kubernetes.
• Open to adopting AI solutions that provide value, with a strong emphasis on quality and ROI.
• Must participate in an on-call rotation.
• Background checks are mandatory.
