Senior Detection Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Examine EDR telemetry, alerts, and log sources across Endpoint, Identity, Network, and Cloud/SaaS detection areas.

• Publish and evaluate threats for Managed Detection and Response clients.

• Clearly communicate key indicators and remediation context.

• Enhance Detection Operations workflows via orchestration and automation.

• Manage substantial volumes of telemetry data.

• Report to the Manager, Detection Analyst within the Detection Operations Team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven curiosity and proactive exploration of AI tools, with a track record of incorporating new technologies into daily workflows.

• Extensive experience in Endpoint (EDR) and one or more of the following: Cloud/SaaS, Identity, Email, or Network detection domains.

• Familiarity with DevOps workflows and scripting languages, such as Python, Ruby, and PowerShell.

• Proficiency in query languages and syntax across EDR or other security platforms, including SQL or Lucene.

• Knowledge of current threats, attack methods, and vulnerabilities.

• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication abilities.

• Preferred: previous professional experience in Red Team or offensive security roles.

• Preferred: active participation in the InfoSec community through blogs, webinars, or conferences.

• Preferred: understanding of MITRE ATT&CK TTPs.
