This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee all facets of both routine and intricate design and construction initiatives.
• Propel project design from the acquisition of the site through to design and construction phases.
• Formulate owner project requirements, initiate space planning, and create schematic designs.
• Act as a representative for DLB during site visits, existing condition assessments, and punchlist activities.
• Assess subcontractor proposals and make recommendations for contract awards.
• Guide pre-construction efforts including project initiation, kickoff meetings, RFIs, and submittals.
• Coordinate the forecasting of resources and materials.
• Develop, manage, and monitor the project timelines.
• Facilitate project meetings and coordinate teams involved in the project.
• Execute and manage QA/QC plans and specifications.
• Supervise subconsultant activities.
• Collaborate with the project team to establish cost and time schedules.
• Allocate and schedule responsibilities for team members working on the project.
• Oversee the startup, cutover, testing, and project closure processes.
• Prepare, forecast, and track project budgets, profitability, margins, billing rates, and utilization.
• Communicate with clients about additional fees and change orders.
• Identify potential project risks and apply mitigation strategies.
• Create cost schedules and value schedules for client progress billing.
• Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and marketing efforts for the firm.
• Advocate for DLB's services and expertise to both existing and prospective clients.
• Maintain client relationships and explore new project opportunities.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring their satisfaction.
• Review and disseminate daily reports.
• Oversee project contract administration and personal/project hours.
• Complete departmental reports and assigned deliverables punctually and within budget.
• Spearhead the strategic application of technology, digital platforms, and AI-enabled tools for workflow automation, forecasting, documentation, reporting, and quality processes.
• Support the adoption of advanced analytics, data visualization, and digital construction management platforms.
• Ensure that technology solutions comply with DLB's standards for data security, privacy, and operational integrity.
• Foster innovation and promote continuous improvement.
• A B.A. / B.S. degree in engineering, construction, or a related field, or two additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least eight years of experience in a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of industry trends, project management, and construction best practices.
• Expert understanding of MEP / FA / FP trades and overall requirements.
• Familiarity with strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and the coordination of personnel and resources.
• Knowledge of the materials, methods, and tools used in constructing mission-critical commercial buildings or other structures.
• Advanced skills in producing drawings and visual aids utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• High proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Proficient with construction management software like Procore.
• Ability to adhere to company and site safety protocols.
• Capability to analyze and prepare documentation, reports, and correspondence.
• Effective communication skills in both oral and written formats, covering both technical and non-technical information.
• Ability to directly engage with clients and serve as their primary contact when necessary.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively with both onsite and remote team members.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Competency in analyzing complex information and formulating plans to resolve identified issues.
• Willingness to travel approximately 15%, potentially to any or all 50 US states.
• Physical capability to remain stationary frequently, navigate office/facility environments, and occasionally transport equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
