Senior Design Manager – Growth

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture designers within Mercury’s Growth organization, focusing on Conversion, Activation, and Virality.

• Mentor designers by providing context, feedback, and support for their professional development.

• Collaborate with leadership from Product and Engineering to define Growth strategy and pinpoint high-impact opportunities.

• Transform identified opportunities into engaging customer experiences.

• Leverage experimentation, customer insights, and business outcomes to inform product decisions.

• Elevate the quality standards across web presence, conversion, activation, virality, and overall customer experience.

• Bring clarity to uncertain problem areas and establish priorities for exceptional execution.

• Develop scalable Growth Design systems and operational practices while maintaining creativity and sound judgment.

• Expand the design team while upholding a rigorous hiring standard.

• Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing product or growth designers, including mentoring senior designers through complex and impactful projects.

• Demonstrated success in utilizing design to achieve measurable business results.

• Knowledge of experimentation and growth dynamics while ensuring a positive customer experience.

• Strong design thinking capabilities accompanied by excellent visual and product judgment.

• Ability to assess specific experience details while keeping the broader system in perspective.

• Comfort in navigating between strategic partnerships, critique, organizational clarity, and hands-on execution.

• Dedication to fostering talent through high standards and constructive feedback.

• An inquisitive mindset regarding customer behavior.

• Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

• Background may encompass product design, growth design, consumer products, commerce, or related fields.
