This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take full ownership of the comprehensive guest lifecycle strategy for Experiences, from initial contact to repeat bookings.
β’ Manage the roadmap for email and push notification programs, including Tripcycle, home-abandoner sequences, transactional messaging, and Launchpad integration.
β’ Identify key audience segments, messaging strategies, and send frequencies, while establishing a thorough testing framework.
β’ Enhance automation for high-performing sends to maximize outreach with minimal ongoing expenses.
β’ Develop the strategy for the Experiences newsletter and other proprietary content.
β’ Create an editorial calendar along with a content-to-conversion measurement approach linked to demand outcomes.
β’ Collaborate with Brand, Creative, and the affiliates/social lead to ensure owned content, social media, and lifecycle efforts are mutually reinforcing.
β’ Establish the strategy and success metrics for the Experiences guest referral program.
β’ Work alongside Product teams on UX enhancements and bonus design to promote adoption.
β’ Monitor performance and refine incentive structures accordingly.
β’ Collaborate with Growth Marketing and Engineering to translate strategy into implemented campaigns and automated workflows.
β’ Maintain visibility into ongoing projects, challenges, and escalations through a consistent reporting schedule.
β’ Influence the prioritization of the Product roadmap for lifecycle and content capabilities.
β’ Set strategic direction, define success metrics, identify effective and ineffective practices, and take ownership of demand outcomes.
β’ Report directly to the Director of Global Demand for Experiences.
β’ Over 12 years of experience in growth, lifecycle, CRM, email, or content marketing, preferably within a consumer marketplace or travel context.
β’ Proven track record of owning a channel or lifecycle strategy from inception to execution, being accountable for its business results rather than merely executing campaigns.
β’ Experience in establishing a strategy that others (cross-functional partners, agencies, or a small team) can implement in a matrixed environment.
β’ Strong analytical capabilities: able to create measurement frameworks, analyze A/B tests, and utilize data to inform decisions.
β’ Expertise in building and scaling email/push automation initiatives.
β’ Possess editorial or owned-content acumen: capable of shaping our messaging and publications, not just the distribution methods.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills: able to craft clear briefs, present strategies to leadership, and align stakeholders effectively.
β’ Must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
β’ Experience in a two-sided marketplace or platform environment, managing both supply and demand dynamics.
β’ Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and referral/incentive mechanisms.
β’ Experience managing a newsletter or editorial initiative with a clear growth objective.
