Senior Demand Planning Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of Demand Plans for Nature’s Bounty in the US.

• Establish performance standards and operational procedures related to Demand Planning.

• Implement and maintain demand planning tools and reports, as well as demand forecasts.

• Act as a champion for the Sales and Operations Planning process and Monthly Business Planning.

• Create and sustain Demand Plans across customer, product, and time hierarchies.

• Track performance metrics, enhance forecast accuracy, and address systematic forecast bias through root-cause analysis.

• Utilize Demand Planning system capabilities for exception-based management.

• Refine Demand Planning processes and tools to achieve time efficiencies and savings.

• Coordinate planning activities across functions and facilitate Monthly Business Planning meetings.

• Suggest baseline forecast modifications and justify updates to the Consensus Demand Plan.

• Evaluate forecast assumptions, sales and marketing initiatives, customer/consumer/competitor insights, product launches, and cannibalization effects.

• Assess customer sales and sell-out/POS data to pinpoint exceptional or unpredicted activities and implement corrective measures.

• Present outcomes from Monthly Business Planning to leadership and gain stakeholder support.

• Deliver the most current Demand Plan to internal business partners through systematic reporting.

• Meet with Sales to assess distributor performance and identify sales gaps.

• Lead Sales meetings regarding contract wins/losses, phasing, timing, run rate, and quantity; confirm actuals with Business Operations.

• Align the Consensus Demand Plan with the wider commercial team and collaborate with Finance on Demand Forecast initiatives.

• Engage in functional Demand Planning meetings and disseminate best practices.

• Share Demand Planning knowledge and tools with planners, new hires, and cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma is mandatory.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Demand & Supply Planning, Supply Chain Development, Procurement, Physical Logistics, Customer Service, Sales & Marketing, or Finance is highly preferred.

• Experience in demand planning is essential.

• Familiarity with Demand Planning and statistical forecasting techniques is required.

• Proven experience in implementing processes and systems to enhance organizational methods.

• Strong analytical skills with the capability to analyze/interpret data and create quantitative models.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Effective interpersonal abilities and the capacity to collaborate with personnel at all organizational levels.

• Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and priorities.

• Innovative problem-solving abilities and creative thinking skills.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
