• Ensure and enhance delivery visibility across intricate, dependency-laden projects.
• Monitor cross-team impediments, integration risks, and upstream/downstream exposure.
• Analyze the effects of scope alterations, timeline adjustments, and capacity limitations.
• Promote backlog readiness and discipline in dependency mapping.
• Identify, evaluate, and proactively manage delivery risks.
• Enhance delivery operational standards to minimize rework, carryover, and execution variability.
• Utilize AI tools for synthesizing status updates, crafting risk narratives, and summarizing backlogs while applying human judgment.
• Shape the behavior of engineers and product managers through structure and data insights.
• Present delivery trade-offs related to timeline, quality, and capacity considerations.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to uphold readiness standards and safeguard delivery integrity.
• Convey delivery feasibility, confidence levels, early warnings, and recovery options.
• Share production release schedules with development, product, and change advisory stakeholders.
• Coordinate efforts across engineering, quality engineering, architecture, and platform teams.
• Utilize delivery metrics to drive structural enhancements.
• Oversee Kanban-based delivery systems managing both planned work and high-priority operational demands.
• Balance the discipline of intake, flow efficiency, and planned delivery commitments.
• Manage the impact of work-in-progress and the costs associated with context-switching.
• Maintain processes for intake and triage of interrupt-driven tasks.
• Track Kanban flow metrics to identify bottlenecks and ensure throughput.
• Collaborate with dependent teams and platform consumers.
• Manage sprint cadence and the health of iterations across engineering teams.
• Implement sprint entry discipline and uphold story readiness standards.
• Enhance sprint predictability through analysis of carryover, velocity trends, and planning accuracy.
• Manage scope pressures during active sprints using trade-off modeling.
• Maintain visibility of cross-sprint dependencies.
• Conduct retrospectives as structured operational reviews and ensure follow-through.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in delivery management within software engineering teams in a fintech or similarly regulated, technically complex setting.
• Demonstrated capability to influence the behavior of engineers and product managers through structured approaches, data, and clear framing.
• Proven track record of building or significantly enhancing delivery systems.
• Experience in modeling delivery trade-offs and presenting structured options to leadership.
• In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including integration complexities, release management, dependency modeling, and cross-team coordination.
• Strong proficiency in Jira for tracking dependencies, modeling delivery, and gaining operational insights.
• Comfort in operating within API-heavy, integration-reliant backend environments.
• Previous experience managing Kanban-oriented teams in service-focused or platform engineering environments.
• Demonstrated application of flow metrics, including lead time, cycle time, and work-in-progress (WIP).
• Proven experience with AI-assisted tools, such as large language models or AI-enhanced Jira workflows.
• A calm and structured approach to dealing with ambiguity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience managing sprint-based teams, emphasizing planning discipline and enforcement of the Definition of Ready.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment infrastructure, or cloud services.
• Experience coordinating iterative and continuous-flow teams.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar change management tools.
• Experience supporting offshore or distributed engineering teams.
• Agile, Scrum, or Kanban certification (CSM, PSM, KMP, or equivalent).
