Senior Defined Benefit Operations Analyst – Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Assist in the delivery and continuous administration of Defined Benefits pension plans.

• Ensure consistent processing quality while adhering to client specifications.

• Offer insights to both internal and external stakeholders regarding operational activities, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

• Implement established Defined Benefits administration procedures with minimal oversight.

• Investigate and resolve escalated issues related to eligibility, participant data, systems, and service delivery.

• Assess intermediate system challenges and validate system processing in line with business and client needs.

• Act as a subject matter expert on client rules, plan provisions, and expectations.

• Lead change initiatives throughout the complete project lifecycle from Discovery to Go-Live.

• Oversee project management and implementation tasks.

• Engage directly with external client contacts to define and scope change requests.

• Maintain Business Requirements, Administrative Guides, and process documentation, ensuring client approval as necessary.

• Collaborate with the Data Management team to uphold Conduent Data Requirements.

• Identify enhancements in systems and processes to boost quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

• Conduct peer reviews of team deliverables.

• Mentor and coach junior team members.

• Carry out assigned responsibilities while adhering to policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Formal education and/or relevant professional experience in Defined Benefits pension administration.

• Strong understanding of Defined Benefits processes, plan rules, eligibility, participant data, and administration.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.

• At least 2 years of experience in SQL query execution and development.

• Experience in troubleshooting system or processing issues.

• Familiarity with business requirements and process documentation.

• Knowledge of the project lifecycle and project management, including Discovery, requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and Go-Live phases.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and client communication skills.

• Capability to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.

• Preferred: experience as a Defined Benefits subject matter expert.

• Preferred: experience engaging directly with external clients.

• Preferred: experience leading client or system change initiatives.

• Preferred: experience with data management and data requirements.

• Preferred: experience in mentoring or coaching junior analysts.
