This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Design, upgrade, architect, and construct scalable infrastructure utilizing Kubernetes, AWS, RDS (MySQL/Postgres), and distributed patterns.
• Propel the infrastructure team's roadmap towards enhanced reliability, recoverability, and scalability.
• Oversee capacity planning, benchmarking, stress testing, bottleneck identification, and preparations for growth.
• Define, maintain, and enforce SLAs and infrastructure alerts.
• Enhance anomaly detection and establish flexible alerting systems.
• Spearhead AI enablement initiatives to improve infrastructure reliability, developer productivity, and internal tooling.
• Foster consistency and scalability throughout a distributed microservices architecture.
• Establish and refine observability, security, and CI/CD engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers while encouraging learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate across functions to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps and achieve results.
• Identify and resolve issues across infrastructure, deployments, operational workloads, and systems.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software engineering or infrastructure engineering, including substantial SRE and backend experience.
• Recently deployed significant changes to a production application or infrastructure configuration within the last 30 days.
• Strong expertise in Golang and experience in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in SQL-based RDBMS, including MySQL and PostgreSQL, with skills in optimizing schemas and queries for performance at scale.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Understanding of distributed systems design patterns, including transactional outbox, event-driven architecture, stream processing, and queues.
• Ability to introduce new ideas, influence decision-making, and lead complex technical initiatives.
• Proven experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• Must consistently work from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM EST while based in India.
• Preferred: Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure, AWS Aurora RDS, data engineering, data pipelines, data warehousing, CI/CD pipelines, containerized microservices in Kubernetes, AI developer tooling, commercial APIs, data-driven applications, and high-traffic services.
