This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Administer and manage relational and NoSQL databases
• Create, configure, and maintain database environments
• Oversee PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, TimescaleDB, and Firestore
• Manage backups, recovery, and service continuity
• Monitor databases and resolve incidents
• Handle user management, roles, and permissions
• Define and implement security policies and best data governance practices
• Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries
• Identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks
• Continuously monitor and enhance database performance
• Design and develop stored procedures, triggers, and materialized views
• Automate operational tasks using Python and Bash
• Manage the schema lifecycle using Alembic
• Administer database services on AWS and Google Cloud Platform
• Deploy and operate containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Participate in modernization and technological migration projects
• Migrate data across different platforms and technologies
• Design migration strategies and validate data integrity
• Engage in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Cloud, and Architecture teams
• Strong experience in administering relational and NoSQL databases
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Knowledge of SQL Server, TimescaleDB, and Firestore/Firebase is a plus
• Proficiency in SQL and query optimization
• Experience in developing stored procedures, triggers, and database objects
• Experience with data migrations and platform upgrades
• Experience working with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Automation experience using Python and Bash
• Analytical skills and problem-solving orientation
• Autonomy and proactive attitude
• Ability to document processes and define technical standards
• Teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary areas
• Experience in high availability environments is a plus
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring is advantageous
• Experience in cloud-native architectures is valued
• Experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD is a plus
• AWS, GCP, or database certifications are advantageous
