Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Oversee and provide support for Windows Server environments hosted on VMware and Azure, encompassing setup, updates, configuration, monitoring, and health management.

• Conduct daily checks for production stability, monitor systems, and review alerts to guarantee platform reliability and availability.

• Administer and assist with hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID environments, focusing on identity lifecycle management, synchronization, access control, and adherence to security best practices.

• Ensure that security measures and least-privilege standards are uniformly enforced throughout infrastructure environments.

• Handle and resolve incidents and service requests utilizing ITSM and Azure DevOps, including conducting root cause analysis and taking ownership of resolutions.

• Execute infrastructure and configuration modifications in accordance with established change management and CAB protocols.

• Automate repetitive tasks and infrastructure provisioning through the use of PowerShell, Terraform, and Azure DevOps pipelines.

• Keep precise technical documentation, procedures, and runbooks updated.

• Assist with infrastructure troubleshooting and deliver effective technical communication to pertinent stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows Server and infrastructure administration, ideally within enterprise settings.

• Proficient experience in Windows Server administration.

• Practical experience with VMware and Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Active Directory and Entra ID, including hybrid configurations.

• Solid understanding of DNS and essential infrastructure services.

• Experience with ITSM processes, encompassing incident management, service requests, change management, and CAB.

• Experience utilizing Azure DevOps (ADO).

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication abilities.

• Experience with Terraform and DevOps (ADO pipelines) is preferred.

• Experience in Dynamics infrastructure support is preferred.

• Exposure to GCP is a plus.

• Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, MS-102, and AZ-400 are preferred.
