Senior Data Warehouse Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and oversee Data Warehouse Load and Transformation solutions.

• Create documentation for solutions and ensure compliance with technical standards.

• Assist in data modeling and collaborate on the design of warehouses and reporting.

• Work closely with business teams to grasp processes and convert technical designs and implementation concepts.

• Carry out design reviews, testing, and compliance activities to guarantee the quality of deliverables.

• Sustain the performance and efficiency of solutions.

• Offer production support and troubleshoot Data Warehouse systems.

• Identify and resolve data and pipeline issues to lessen business impact.

• Collaborate with development, testing, quality assurance, and production support teams to adhere to implementation timelines and facilitate smooth transitions in the development lifecycle.

• Escalate concerns and provide input on program specifications.

• Report to the Senior Director of Business Analytics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of demonstrated IT and business/industry experience in a development capacity.

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Proficient knowledge and experience in Data Integration design, SQL, ETL tools, and data warehouse design, including star schema.

• Practical experience with Oracle, including Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB).

• Familiarity with Boomi or a comparable integration/ETL platform.

• Experience in ingesting data from API-based data sources and SQL Server.

• Comfortable operating in Linux environments, including file manipulation.

• Experience in automating file transfers using SFTP.

• Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve production issues in intricate data pipelines.

• Capacity to quickly learn new skills and technologies.

• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and respond effectively under pressure with competing priorities.

• Capability to exhibit creative thought leadership, drive results, foster innovation, and effect change.

• Strong written, verbal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
