This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more country.
• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, views, jobs, and associated database objects.
• Create and support the architecture, data models, schemas, and data flows for the enterprise data warehouse.
• Assess and enhance the structure, scalability, performance, and maintainability of the data warehouse.
• Assist in managing data warehouse production operations, tackling failures, performance challenges, data quality concerns, and downstream dependencies.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for SSIS, ETL processes, integrations, APIs, files, feeds, and scheduled data operations.
• Design dependable data movement between source systems, staging layers, data warehouse environments, and reporting platforms.
• Investigate issues within production databases, data warehouses, integrations, and reporting, driving them to their root causes and resolutions.
• Reconcile discrepancies in reports and data against source systems.
• Review changes in databases, warehouses, and integrations for dependencies and impacts on downstream processes.
• Uphold query performance, data integrity, reliability, and stability in production.
• Define and implement technical testing for changes in databases, warehouses, and integrations.
• Support deployments in DEV, TEST/UAT, and PROD environments, including rollback planning as necessary.
• Develop monitoring, failure detection, retry, and recovery processes for automated integrations and warehouse operations.
• Maintain documentation for critical databases, warehouse architecture, integrations, jobs, reports, data flows, and support procedures.
• Collaborate closely with Development, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Applications, Infrastructure, and Support teams.
• Keep clear records of status, target dates, blockers, risks, and next steps for assigned tasks.
• Promptly escalate risks and dependencies instead of allowing issues to linger in investigation.
• Ensure that completed technical work is tested, validated, documented, deployed, and supportable.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proficient in advanced T-SQL.
• Knowledge of data warehouse design and architecture.
• Familiarity with dimensional modeling and enterprise data modeling.
• Experience in supporting data warehouses and troubleshooting production issues.
• Proficient in stored procedures, views, functions, and SQL Agent jobs.
• Experience with SSIS / SSISDB or comparable ETL tools.
• Understanding of ETL architecture and data pipeline design.
• Skills in data integration and troubleshooting.
• Experience in data reconciliation and reporting support.
• Knowledge of query performance and optimization.
• Experience in supporting production databases.
• Strong skills in root cause analysis.
• Ability to analyze data lineage and dependencies.
• Experience with APIs, files, feeds, and system integrations.
• Understanding of production deployment and change management.
• Familiarity with Azure data services where applicable.
