This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Develop hosted Windows desktop infrastructure along with application/load balancing environments.
• Monitor alerts related to incident response that impact infrastructure and business operations.
• Document and manage tasks through ticketing and change-control processes.
• Execute deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities.
• Offer hardware, software, and maintenance support for Nutanix and VMware platforms.
• Collect requirements from application teams and vendors for load balancing and VDI image/application provisioning.
• Provide senior-level operational support.
• Design, implement, maintain, and support Windows virtual environments and Citrix ADC.
• Act as the technical leader for virtualized workstreams.
• Define virtual endpoint environments in accordance with enterprise architecture plans and strategies.
• Collaborate with IT, business units, functional teams, field personnel, and internal/external audit functions.
• Document the current installed state of the platform using an As-Is Diagram.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Supervisory responsibilities may be required.
• Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline.
• Citrix certification is mandatory.
• Required certification: CITRIX-CCA.
• Minimum of CCA-V; CCP-V or CCE-V preferred.
• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in engineering, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level Nutanix and/or VMware virtualization systems.
• 10 years of direct involvement with Citrix-based solutions.
• At least 7 years of experience in designing, engineering, implementing, and maintaining solutions within secure processing environments that comply with U.S. healthcare regulations and guidelines.
• 7 years or more of hands-on experience in implementing, operating, and maintaining virtualization, storage, data protection, and networking solutions.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluating virtualization and storage infrastructure for performance issues, tuning, and optimization.
• Strong engineering background in Citrix, including architecture and deployment.
• Significant experience with load balancing.
• Experience in managing Active Directory and Azure.
• Proficient in Windows Server administration.
• Familiarity with group policy management.
• Knowledge of DNS.
• Strong networking abilities and understanding of IT infrastructure.
• Excellent skills in ADC (NetScaler) and virtual desktops.
• Advanced skills in computer systems administration and automation.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate, teach, collaborate, and train technical personnel.
• Capability to distill key information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
