Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +16 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive data science initiatives from defining problems and designing hypotheses to model creation, validation, and implementation.

• Create and assess sophisticated statistical and machine learning models utilizing extensive, intricate datasets.

• Construct data pipelines, devise feature engineering strategies, and establish experimentation frameworks.

• Convert quantitative results into actionable insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Work collaboratively with product, engineering, analytics, and business teams to pinpoint opportunities, establish success metrics, and prioritize tasks.

• Set best practices for data integrity, model oversight, documentation, and responsible AI practices.

• Guide junior team members and engage in ongoing enhancement of data science techniques and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Over 8 years of professional experience in applying statistical analysis, machine learning, or advanced analytics to practical business challenges.

• Proficiency in managing large, complex datasets.

• Strong programming skills in Python or R.

• Experience with SQL querying.

• Background in designing and analyzing experiments or causal inference methodologies.

• Familiarity with using metrics to evaluate model and product performance.

• Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, or operations teams.

• Experience in delivering and operationalizing data science solutions on a large scale.
