Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire data science project lifecycle, starting from identifying the business challenge to deploying and monitoring models in a production environment.

• Create and enhance Machine Learning models (both supervised and unsupervised) focused on recruitment, selection, retention, and engagement.

• Conduct in-depth exploratory analyses to reveal patterns and hidden opportunities in user behavior.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to seamlessly integrate data solutions into the platform.

• Maintain model quality and governance, emphasizing bias mitigation and explainability (XAI).

• Guide junior team members, fostering best practices in coding, experimentation, and scientific rigor.

• Clearly and strategically communicate technical findings to stakeholders throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in senior-level Data Science projects, ideally in product-oriented (SaaS) settings.

• High proficiency in Python and its core libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, XGBoost/LightGBM).

• Advanced SQL expertise for managing large datasets and deriving insights.

• Comprehensive knowledge of applied statistics, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and version control systems (Git).

• Strong analytical capabilities and the aptitude to convert business challenges into data-driven solutions.

• Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and LLMs (Generative AI) is an advantage.

• Background in recommender systems is a plus.

• Understanding of MLOps practices (MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar) is beneficial.

• Prior involvement in HR Tech or People Analytics is favorable.

• A Master's or Ph.D. in quantitative disciplines (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering) is advantageous.
