Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Analyze client data and carry out data cleaning and preprocessing activities.

• Create and optimize fraud detection models and machine learning algorithms.

• Work in conjunction with Product and Research teams as well as external clients.

• Grasp business objectives to ensure the success of our clients.

• Provide technical direction and oversee project execution.

• Construct scalable data pipelines and prototypes.

• Assist in the development of solutions and overall product improvements.

• Stay updated on trends in fraud prevention.

• Convey complex findings and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Python programming.

• Proficient in using NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, and scikit-learn libraries.

• Familiarity with distributed computing tools such as PySpark.

• In-depth knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms.

• Experience in data cleaning and preprocessing techniques.

• Background in feature engineering.

• Proven experience in building scalable data pipelines, including tools like Airflow and Trino.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field is typically required.
