Senior Data Modeler, Snowflake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Create and execute physical data models in Snowflake.

• Emphasize scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Convert conceptual and logical models into schemas, tables, and views optimized for Snowflake.

• Collaborate with data engineers to enhance ETL/ELT processes and data integration methodologies.

• Ensure alignment of models and metadata with governance standards and tools, including Collibra.

• Maintain documentation of modeling and transformation logic for traceability and compliance.

• Assist in performance tuning and optimization of data pipelines.

• Operate within a distributed, global environment alongside technical and business stakeholders.

• Facilitate the integration of regional data warehouses into a centralized data platform based on Snowflake for clients in the pharmaceutical industry.


⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in a Data Modeler role or a similar position.

• Demonstrated expertise in physical data modeling within Snowflake and proficiency in SQL.

• Knowledge of data integration and ETL/ELT methodologies.

• Familiarity with dbt, Matillion, or Fivetran is advantageous.

• Experience with metadata and data governance platforms, preferably Collibra.

• Understanding of AWS services, especially S3, is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of data modeling best practices, such as star schema, normalization, and data vault.

• Capability to work autonomously in a remote, cross-functional team environment.

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

• Prior experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences data and regulatory frameworks is preferred.

• Familiarity with data quality tools like Ataccama is preferred.
