Senior Data Governance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation of enterprise data governance standards and processes.

• Enhance and maintain metadata and data lineage for governed datasets.

• Evaluate the meaning of data and pinpoint anomalies or areas needing stronger governance.

• Aid in data quality initiatives and facilitate issue resolution.

• Define ownership and stewardship roles alongside data owners and stewards.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to address ownership or governance challenges.

• Support stewardship meetings and clarify responsibilities to data owners and stewards.

• Utilize governance processes to enhance the reliability and consistency of data and reporting.

• Engage in data governance working groups and projects.

• Contribute ideas to refine and advance governance processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.

• Proven experience in contributing to data governance programs.

• Proficiency in SQL and capability to work directly with data.

• Familiarity with metadata and data lineage concepts.

• Understanding of data quality and governance processes.

• Knowledge of CCPA, ERISA, FINRA, and SEC regulations.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners, data owners, and stewards.

• Capacity to independently investigate data governance and ownership matters and coordinate stakeholders.

• Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

• Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection with wired access and a suitable home workspace for remote work.
