High Risk Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate vacant FHA and VA loans prior to foreclosure sales for preemptive disposition decisions.

• Assess newly vacant FHA properties post-sale that are managed through the conveyance process.

• Collect necessary information and input it into a Disposition Model to project financial gains or losses.

• Propose solutions to optimize and expedite fund recovery.

• Analyze investor/insurer claims paid on properties transitioned into REO and confirm model accuracy.

• Offer insights on updates to the Disposition Model based on corporate strategies, investor/insurer criteria, market trends, and other relevant factors.

• Investigate charge-off requests and their underlying reasons.

• Create written recommendations for charge-offs.

• Present charge-off and low-balance loan proposals to Default leadership for their approval.

• Submit charge-off recommendations to investors in accordance with specified guidelines.

• Process charge-offs or sanctioned outcomes in record systems.

• Research and evaluate high-risk situations and their effects on borrowers, Freedom Mortgage, investors/insurers, and default timelines.

• Address high-risk situations promptly to reduce potential losses.

• Identify and oversee effective recovery strategies when necessary.

• Prepare timelines and recommendations for Default leadership.

• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.

• Undertake other related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience is required.

• Strong knowledge of FHA, VA, and GSE claims guidelines is essential.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

• High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.

• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Microsoft Office and advanced expertise in Excel.

• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
