This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Implement and support comprehensive Data Governance initiatives and governance processes from start to finish.
• Develop and uphold governance documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct data analysis and profiling to uncover quality issues and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in managing metadata, including both business and technical metadata.
• Leverage AI-powered data governance tools for automating classification and tagging, pinpointing sensitive or non-compliant data, and facilitating governance workflows.
• Oversee data assets to ensure policy compliance and propose corrective measures.
• Aid in AI-assisted data retention, archival, and lifecycle management policies.
• Validate data governance controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Document business definitions, data rules, and governance requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Support data stewardship initiatives and enhance data quality across essential data domains.
• Work collaboratively across functions to gather requirements and translate business needs into governance documentation.
• Track governance activities and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
• Communicate governance updates, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
• Approximately 3+ years of professional experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business/Data Analysis, or related fields.
• Experience with data governance platforms such as Atlan, Collibra, Alation, or similar governance workflow and metadata management tools.
• Experience in PII discovery and confidence scoring (required).
• Experience with data masking using AI agents (required).
• Practical experience with AWS, including S3, cleanup processes, Glue, AgentCore, and Lambda functions (required).
• Familiarity with CoCo and Cortex is advantageous.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal (preferred).
• Certifications in AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake.
