This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +17 more states.
• Authorize settlement for highly intricate claims that surpass the limits of the Market Claim Office and Regional Claim Office.
• Offer recommendations on trial requests for cases that exceed the authority of the Market Claim Office.
• Oversee large loss cases assigned to CSAs.
• Provide discretionary referrals, insights, and research on coverage matters.
• Approve requests for Closed Without Payment when liability is contested and the amount exceeds Field authority.
• Conduct file assessments for complex projects and litigation cases, analyze data, and present findings.
• Evaluate cases to decide if Closed Without Payment is suitable based on gross tort value exposure.
• Assist the Field with discretionary referrals regarding intricate coverage issues and collaborate with Home Office Claim litigation as necessary.
• Analyze coverage, liability, and damages on highly complex cases, working with Field leadership on subsequent actions.
• Share insights and trends from referred cases with Frontline Performance Experts, Frontline Performance Leaders, and Claim Process Specialists.
• Collaborate with Product, Protection, Law, and Claims teams on new products and create Claim Bulletins that impact claim-handling practices.
• Manage complex, high-exposure claims with policy limits up to 100/300, including rejected tenders, extra-contractual exposure claims, severe injuries, and fatalities.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
• Previous experience in handling large loss claims.
• Proficient in navigating complex liability challenges.
• Experience in managing litigation until resolution.
• Strong skills in investigation, negotiation, and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with bodily injury claims, commercial insurance claims, complex claims, homeowners claims, large loss claims, personal injury claims, litigation, litigation management, and torts.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
• Candidates are required to terminate all existing insurance appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments during their employment.
• Applicants with a resident producer license must relinquish that license when directed by the licensing team.
• A dedicated, private workspace that is free from distractions is required when working from home.
• Reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is necessary.
• Comprehensive technology package, including a laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse.
