Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Azure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

• Work closely with both business and technical teams.

• Collect and analyze requirements.

• Convert requirements into technical specifications.

• Create data solutions.

• Build data pipelines.

• Enhance transformation processes.

• Contribute to the establishment of architecture and standards.

• Maintain data quality, security, and governance.

• Offer technical support and guidance to junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering.

• Strong background with Microsoft Azure.

• Extensive experience with Azure Databricks.

• Proficiency in PySpark.

• Experience using Azure Data Factory.

• Skilled in developing and refining ETL/ELT processes.

• Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage / ADLS.

• Knowledge of Parquet.

• Experience with Delta Lake.

• Comprehensive experience across ingestion, transformation, modeling, and data delivery.

• Capability to design scalable, performance-focused architectures.

• Experience with DataHub / data platforms.

• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.

• Experience working in Agile / SCRUM settings.

• Must be available to work remotely from Portugal, based on the location specified in the job posting.
