Senior Data Engineer – IICS, Redshift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing IICS to facilitate data integration from source systems into the data warehouse.

• Create and optimize data models and structures within Amazon Redshift.

• Write high-quality SQL and Python code to transform, validate, and automate data workflows.

• Construct and support Power BI data models that provide reporting and dashboards for business stakeholders.

• Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure precision and traceability across pipelines.

• Document data flows, models, and pipeline logic to aid in handoffs and ensure long-term maintainability.

• Collaborate closely with client-side stakeholders and the CompassX team, translating technical tasks into business contexts.

• Work alongside a small team of engineers and analysts, balancing autonomy with alignment to team objectives.

• Develop and enhance a custom React application integrated with Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud backend systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services) for data integration.

• Familiarity with Amazon Redshift as a data warehouse platform.

• Strong SQL expertise and a solid foundation in ETL/ELT pipeline design.

• Proficient in Python for data engineering workflows.

• Experience in building Power BI data models, preferably with an understanding of data modeling best practices for reporting layers.

• Comfortable working with cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS preferred due to the Redshift environment).

• A keen eye for data quality and validation, as accuracy and traceability are critical in a pharmaceutical setting.

• Excellent communication skills with experience engaging directly with client stakeholders.

• Bonus: familiarity with Veeva, especially in a pharmaceutical or life sciences context.

• Capability to work independently in a senior-level contract role.

• Engagement as an independent contractor through the end of the year on a 1099 basis.
