This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and sustain enterprise ETL pipelines utilizing Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter, and Python-based frameworks.
• Construct and enhance scalable data processing solutions leveraging Python, Spark, and Databricks.
• Create and refine SQL queries and stored procedures across Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server.
• Implement data engineering best practices to ensure performance, reliability, reusability, and security.
• Assist with Medicaid analytics and federal reporting efforts, including T-MSIS, PERM, MARS, and Quality of Care.
• Establish robust data validation, reconciliation, and audit-traceable data pipelines.
• Work collaboratively with analysts, QA, and reporting teams to guarantee data quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Engage in cloud migration and modernization projects within Azure-based environments.
• Support production operations, resolve incidents, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Take part in code reviews, source control, and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on enterprise data warehousing.
• More than 5 years of practical ETL development experience using Informatica PowerCenter, Teradata, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools.
• At least 5 years of Python development experience for data engineering and automation.
• 5+ years of experience with Teradata, including Teradata loader utilities.
• A minimum of 3 years working with Spark-based processing frameworks, such as Databricks or similar.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases like Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server.
• 3+ years of experience with Snowflake using SnowSQL and Snowpark (Python).
• Familiarity with source control and DevOps methodologies, including Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD practices.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Occasional travel may be necessary depending on project or customer requirements.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Azure certifications related to data engineering or analytics are preferred.
• Experience in supporting State Medicaid EDW or MMIS analytics environments is preferred.
• Background in healthcare or public sector analytics, particularly with Medicaid / Medicare, is preferred.
• Experience with data modeling in enterprise data warehouse settings is preferred.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell or Bash for automation and orchestration is preferred.
• Familiarity with designing or consuming REST APIs within data platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks, reconciliation, and audit support is preferred.
