Senior Data Engineer – Enterprise Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of Filigran's Enterprise Data Platform from data ingestion to consumption.

• Model and transform data utilizing dbt with staging, intermediate, and mart architectures.

• Ensure data quality, reliability, observability, testing, monitoring, alerting, and conduct code reviews.

• Oversee the maintenance of the data catalog and data governance.

• Create and sustain Metabase dashboards for reliable KPI visibility.

• Manage and scale Airbyte/Airflow ingestion pipelines sourced from external APIs and data sources.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with broken pipelines to guarantee platform reliability from end to end.

• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, Support, and People teams to establish metrics and model KPIs.

• Facilitate self-service analytics and dashboard creation.

• Conduct technical assessments to enhance platform architecture and tools.

• Work alongside Engineering to ensure deployment, monitoring, and platform reliability.

• Assist in developing AI agents, self-reporting insights, proactive metric alerts, and a semantic layer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering.

• Strong practical knowledge of dbt, encompassing modeling, testing, data quality, observability, and governance in production environments.

• Experience with ingestion and orchestration pipelines, including Airflow, Airbyte, or similar tools.

• Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Ability to effectively translate stakeholder requirements into KPIs and dashboards across functions.

• Demonstrated autonomy and full ownership of projects.

• Familiarity with software engineering best practices, such as version control, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.

• Product-focused mindset emphasizing data quality, usability, and business outcomes.

• Experience in building AI agents, knowledge of LLM/agent stacks, fully remote asynchronous work, or experience in the cybersecurity industry are advantageous.
