Senior Data Engineer – Databricks Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Assist both new and existing clients with their data engineering requirements

• Advise clients on technical decisions to help them achieve their objectives

• Manage multiple customer accounts while monitoring and reporting on progress

• Design, develop, and implement intricate data solutions

• Troubleshoot issues and execute data transformations

• Suggest data cleansing and data quality enhancement strategies

• Evaluate data sources and advocate for their integration into analytical workflows

• Enforce data governance, data security, and data quality protocols

• Collaborate with various teams to facilitate project delivery

• Provide training to end-users on data products and analytic environments

• Examine, evaluate, and resolve issues of moderate complexity related to data and systems

• Test data movement, transformation code, and data components

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of relevant experience in data engineering and data product development

• More than 3 years of experience in a consulting setting

• In-depth understanding of the Databricks platform

• Proven experience with legacy-to-Databricks migration initiatives

• Practical experience with DAB, clustering techniques, and performance tuning

• Familiarity with other data platforms and technologies

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP

• Knowledge of CI/CD and GenAI

• Proficient in SQL and PySpark

• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership capabilities

• Experience with Databricks Genie and Databricks Apps is highly advantageous

• Proven track record of delivering over 5 projects utilizing Databricks is a significant advantage

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field

• Proficient in English
