Senior Data Engineer – Cybersecurity Platform

📋 Description

• Maintain and improve current data processes with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and performance enhancement.

• Analyze and gain a comprehensive understanding of current data models, tables, workflows, and processing jobs.

• Identify technical deficiencies, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for systems improvement.

• Design, optimize, and provide support for large-scale data pipelines and transformation processes.

• Lead modernization efforts across the data platform and execute architectural enhancements.

• Optimize intricate SQL queries and reduce data processing latency.

• Collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure alignment on technical solutions and implementation approaches.

• Contribute to both immediate delivery objectives and the long-term evolution of the platform.

• Ensure compliance with best practices in data engineering, performance optimization, and system reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.

• Advanced SQL skills with practical experience in optimizing complex queries for performance and scalability.

• Strong hands-on experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.

• Solid understanding of database concepts, including DDL, DML, and advanced SQL techniques.

• Practical experience with Snowflake.

• Familiarity with Elastic stack technologies.

• Proven track record in designing, constructing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work independently in a high-autonomy environment.

• Experience in driving technical initiatives from conception to execution.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency.

• Experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration (a plus).

• Background in cybersecurity or security-related products (a plus).

• Experience in modernizing legacy data systems and architectures (a plus).
