Senior Data Engineer – Cybersecurity Platform

📋 Description

• Maintain and improve existing data processes to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.

• Evaluate current data models, tables, workflows, and processing jobs.

• Identify technical deficiencies, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for system enhancements.

• Design, optimize, and support large-scale data pipelines and transformation workflows.

• Lead initiatives for data-platform modernization and implement architectural advancements.

• Optimize intricate SQL queries and enhance data-processing latency.

• Work in collaboration with product engineering teams to devise technical solutions and implementation strategies.

• Contribute to both short-term delivery objectives and the long-term evolution of the platform.

• Ensure compliance with best practices in data engineering, performance optimization, and system reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.

• Advanced SQL expertise with practical experience in optimizing complex queries for performance and scalability.

• Significant hands-on experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.

• Strong understanding of database fundamentals, including DDL, DML, and advanced SQL techniques.

• Practical experience with Snowflake.

• Familiarity with Elastic stack technologies.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work independently in a high-autonomy setting.

• Proven track record of driving technical initiatives from concept to execution.

• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Experience utilizing Airflow for workflow orchestration.

• Background in cybersecurity or security-related products.

• Experience in modernizing legacy data systems and architectures.
