This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Organize, gather, and process extensive datasets utilizing ETL tools.
• Transform the client's business goals into a comprehensive information management and business intelligence strategy.
• Oversee data pipelines while ensuring secure access to information.
• Develop and present metrics and dashboards derived from collected data, maintaining data quality and integrity.
• Participate in data platform modernization efforts, emphasizing Lakehouse architecture, governance, quality, and preparing data for analytics and AI applications.
• Create dimensional models for the use of business teams, dashboards, and reports.
• Administer the entire data lifecycle: ingestion, processing, storage, transformation, consumption, and governance.
• Senior-level expert focused on Data/AWS.
• Proficient in data extraction, transformation, and loading utilizing Python/PySpark ETL tools.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud services: Glue, EMR, Athena, SNS, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Lake Formation, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with NoSQL modeling and databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Hadoop.
• Knowledge of Lakehouse architecture with Apache Iceberg, including management of analytical tables, versioning, schema evolution, partitioning, and performance tuning.
• Proficient in query engines for large-scale data, including Athena, Trino, Presto, or Spark SQL, with skills in optimizing queries and working with columnar formats like Parquet and ORC.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling (fact and dimension tables, granularity, keys, hierarchies, metrics, and KPIs).
• Experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Execution of unit and performance testing.
• Knowledge of best practices in cloud security, access control, and monitoring.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Certified Data Engineer certifications.
• Familiarity with data quality and observability.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudWatch).
• Understanding of Data Mesh concepts.
• Knowledge of AI applications in data.
