Senior Data Engineer – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take charge of issues and drive them to resolution with minimal technical guidance required.

• Utilize previous experience at Itaú along with knowledge of its technical specifics, processes, infrastructure, access protocols, and repositories.

• Contribute swiftly to complex, critical projects that operate under tight deadlines.

• Receive business rules or problems, comprehend the requirements, and independently deliver technical solutions.

• Operate within the Custody/TRM business framework as provided by the team.

• Transform ideas into innovative solutions while striving for quality in daily tasks.

• Tackle challenging and innovative technology scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level expertise in Data/AWS.

• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Apache Spark.

• Understanding of how Apache Spark functions and its limitations.

• Awareness of the implications of inappropriate decisions or usage.

• Strong expertise in AWS Glue / Glue Jobs.

• Familiarity with AWS Step Functions, AWS SQS, and AWS SNS.

• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

• Capability to design and architect solutions using Terraform.

• Knowledge of the infrastructure standards implemented by Itaú.

• Understanding of integrations between AWS services, such as SQS and Lambda.

• Practical experience with Itaú’s technology environment and standards.

• Familiarity with Kafka is advantageous.

• Knowledge of additional relevant AWS services is a plus.

• Previous experience with highly critical data projects and/or meeting aggressive deadlines is beneficial.
