Cloud Systems Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a high-performing team of platform engineers, creating a cooperative and innovative environment.

• Design engineering solutions and oversee the daily operations of OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters on GCP and Azure.

• Ensure the container platforms achieve high availability, security, and scalability.

• Facilitate platform service delivery by defining, monitoring, and achieving SLAs, SLOs, and MTTx.

• Lead automation efforts to enhance operations, minimize manual tasks, and boost efficiency.

• Establish and uphold best practices for Infrastructure as Code.

• Work with cross-functional teams to shape the platform’s strategic direction and roadmap.

• Align platform capabilities with business objectives and user needs.

• Assist in resolving technical issues, troubleshooting, and conducting post-mortem analyses.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience working within a team of platform, DevOps, or site reliability engineers.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• Advanced technical knowledge of container orchestration platforms, particularly OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.

• Practical experience in managing and operating cloud infrastructure on GCP and/or Azure.

• Strong grasp of Infrastructure as Code principles and tools, including Terraform and GitOps.

• In-depth understanding of service management principles, encompassing SLAs, SLOs, and incident management.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
