Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing Microsoft Azure Fabric.

• Create dependable ETL/ELT processes for both structured and unstructured data.

• Collaborate with business teams to comprehend data requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

• Enhance data processing workflows for improved performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools and contemporary engineering practices to boost delivery speed and solution quality.

• Diagnose production issues and proactively seek improvements.

• Work together with architects, analysts, and developers throughout the project lifecycle.

• Take ownership of quality, timelines, and project outcomes.

• Employ AI and automation to address challenges and enhance engineering productivity.

• Identify risks early, pose questions, and keep stakeholders updated.

• Adjust priorities while ensuring delivery commitments are met.

• Engage with global teams and coordinate with the U.S. East Coast when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience as a Data Engineer.

• Significant expertise with Microsoft Azure Fabric, Databricks, and Azure data services.

• Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling principles.

• Experience in building enterprise-grade data pipelines and data integration solutions.

• Proficiency in Python, Spark, or similar technologies is preferred.

• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms in production settings.

• Capability to overlap with the U.S. East Coast during key discussions, up to 1:00 PM ET as needed.
