Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create and automate tools within the Data Platform domain.

• Assist the client's product, technical, and analytical teams in developing products, technology solutions, and data-centric services.

• Help the client's technical and analytical teams troubleshoot issues reported via Slack, email, and OpsGenie.

• Engage in the recruitment process, which includes recruiter screening, technical interviews, and client interviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data engineering.

• Proficiency in Python and JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala).

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Composer, Dataproc, and Cloud Run, or other public cloud services.

• Strong understanding of SQL and PySpark.

• Experience with software development methodologies such as TDD, Clean Code, and CI/CD.

• Proficient in navigating a Linux/Unix environment.

• Experience with Docker.

• Knowledge of git or another version control system.

• Interest in emerging technologies, including Generative AI and its applications.

• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.

• Dedication to personal growth and staying updated with industry knowledge.

• English proficiency at a minimum level of B2+

• Nice to have: Knowledge of Apache Beam and Google Dataflow.

• Nice to have: Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Nice to have: Experience with Spark or PySpark, not necessarily in a Hadoop environment.
