Data Engineer, Senior and Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Establish and enhance the architecture of the Data Warehouse

• Set standards and layers for integration

• Develop the ETL framework

• Execute ETL/ELT pipelines

• Ensure high data performance and quality

• Design the dimensional model

• Prepare the solution for potential migration or evolution to Microsoft Fabric

• Evaluate technical deliverables

• Guide and mentor junior team members

• Engage in architectural decisions alongside clients and stakeholders

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–8+ years of experience in Data Engineering

• Extensive experience with on-premises SQL Server

• Proficient in Advanced T-SQL

• Strong background in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

• Proficient in Python for Data Engineering applications

• Experience in Data Warehousing methodologies

• Familiarity with Power BI and/or Microsoft Fabric

• Expertise in ETL/ELT processes

• Knowledge of dimensional modeling

• Understanding of Kimball methodology

• Experience with star schema design

• Knowledge of fact tables and conformed dimensions

• Experience integrating multiple source systems

• Proven track record in designing comprehensive end-to-end data architectures

• Ability to define integration layers and standards

• Experience in multi-source/multi-ERP consolidation projects

• Demonstrated technical leadership capabilities
