📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance the performance, security, and availability of PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle databases.

• Create and manage database schemas, indexes, and partitions to ensure scalability and efficiency.

• Monitor database systems and execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

• Apply security best practices, encompassing access control, encryption, and auditing measures.

• Identify and resolve database performance challenges while optimizing query execution.

• Ensure adherence to data governance, security protocols, and industry regulations.

• Comprehend business requirements and convert them into actionable tasks for data engineering.

• Manage task prioritization and facilitate daily standups.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that Power BI and data solutions align with business goals.

• Provide guidance and support for the team's Power BI initiatives without the need for direct Power BI development.

• Mentor team members and promote best practices in data management and reporting.

• Leverage AI and automation to enhance software delivery, testing, database reliability, migrations, and operational runbooks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in PostgreSQL database administration, focusing on performance tuning, security, and backup/recovery processes.

• Proven experience managing PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle databases.

• Background in designing and maintaining database schemas, indexes, and partitions.

• Familiarity with database monitoring, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Understanding of access control, encryption, auditing, data governance, security policies, and industry standards.

• Proficient in troubleshooting database performance and optimizing query execution.

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills for both technical and non-technical collaboration.

• Capability to prioritize and manage a team's workload while aligning with business objectives.

• Strong problem-solving mindset with meticulous attention to detail.

• Solid hands-on experience with contemporary AI models and developer tools.

• Proficient in applying AI for PostgreSQL performance tuning, validating database reliability, planning migrations, and automating operational runbooks.

• Experience in utilizing AI for testing workflows, including generating test scenarios, expanding regression coverage, and identifying edge cases.

• Demonstrated ability to implement practical automation while ensuring quality, security, and auditability.

• Skilled in evaluating AI output quality, selecting suitable models/tools, and applying secure patterns for sensitive data.

• Proven history of achieving measurable efficiency improvements.

• Willingness to work during US EST hours.
